The easiest foods to digest are animal foods. This is the forbidden information that nobody is talking about anymore. And raw is the healthiest way to eat them. Raw eggs require almost no digestion at all! The nutrients are immediately available for rebuilding your body. The health care system and food industry advice we get today has most everything entirely backward. We should be eating our animal foods as RAW as possible, and our plant foods as COOKED as possible. We know, we know… all you’ve ever heard is the opposite.
You are not a cow, the small amount of microbes in your gut to ferment and break down plant food are at the bottom end of your digestive system, in your colon, and not at the top as you find in an herbivore. We are made to eat animal foods whether you like it or not. We are at the top of the food chain and need to eat very dense nutrition so we have time to CREATE. We don’t have time to eat all day long as a cow does. However, we can get the nutrition from plants by eating the animals that ate the plants –– they do the predigesting for us! We need to eat the food, that ate the food, that ate the food, that ate the food, and so on. There is no plant that comes close to the restorative energy you get from animal foods. The raw egg makes the smoothie very frothy and thick. All “Drug Store soda fountain milkshakes” (think Norman Rockwell) were made in the early 1900s with raw eggs.
RAW Egg Whites Help To Chelate Heavy Metals! How’s that for forbidden information?! Raw egg whites do the best chelation of heavy metals –– but only if they are RAW. Egg whites are some of the best protein in the world, and the strong, luscious, healthy saturated fat from the yolk will give you the energy to heal and rebuild your body –– because eggs are the perfect food. Raw eggs have even been compared to mother’s milk for nutrition and ease of digestion.
Remember, the Calcifood Powder we recommend in the shake is RAW. Many commercially produced bone meal products are cooked and nutritionally dead. John Courtney, of Standard Process, explained the difference and how steamed and cooked bone meal is made:
“A butcher cuts meat off bones and throws the bones into a box. Then somebody comes along and buys the bones from him for a few cents a pound. The bones are then put into a big vat with water, and the water and bones are boiled for two or three weeks! Everything soluble in the bones comes out in the juice. This juice is dried and sold as gelatin. Everything that is not soluble is still in the bones, which are ground up and sold as veal bone. There is nothing soluble in this type of product because it all came out in the boiling, so people who buy it are wasting their money. This stuff is totally worthless. In fact, it isn’t even good for fertilizer. By the time it’s been boiled and ground up it’s just like sand—there is nothing digestible in it. Yet people buy this, thinking that they are buying bone meal.”
To our knowledge, everybody’s, except Standard Process’, is like that. We don’t know of anybody else who makes a raw bone meal. The Calcifood Powder we recommend is raw. It is uncooked whole bone with all the marrow still in it. So Calcifood helps build red blood cells as those are built in the marrow. It’s our best single product for supporting bones and teeth. A couple of tablespoonfuls a day are very good for maintenance support. Use more for acute support.
2300 years ago, the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, said, “All diseases begin in the gut.” If we can’t digest our food what do we have? If we can’t break down our proteins and emulsify our fats, in other words, DIGEST our food, what do we have? We have nothing but disease to look forward to and a miserable quality of life … as we slowly starve to death. Proteins are the building blocks of our body, but if we cannot breakdown the proteins into peptides in our stomach because of low stomach acid and into amino acids in our small intestines, then our body cannot utilize the proteins we eat. It would only make sense to provide our bodies with at the same time, both easy digestibility and good protein and fat. If we can’t emulsify the fat we eat (and hopefully we eat it!), we cannot keep the structure of our cells healthy, as our cell walls are made from fat. So if you DO have a weak digestive system the easiest way to build it up is to give your body the necessary nutrients in a very bioavailable form – such as they are in Mary’s Milkshake.

The products listed below are the powders we recommend as synergistic nutrients in Mary’s Milkshake. But you can use whatever you like; it is just important to get the raw eggs into your diet. You can add blueberries, strawberries, bananas, whatever you like, but try to get as many of the powders in it as possible. However, the E-Z Mg powder is very sweet and might be enough to where you don’t have to use fruit as a sweetener. The other powders are very supportive and made from RAW ingredients. We have recommended this milkshake to hundreds of patients with no problems at all, but MAKE SURE you get good quality, pasture raised, antibiotic-free, and organic, eggs from a source you trust. Pastured (or free-range) organic eggs are the best because the hens have had much better nutrition, having eaten insects, worms, and anything they can catch. Regardless of how this may sound it has been the principal makeup of a chickens diet for millennia. Chickens are not vegetarians. But when they are fed vegetarian foods, their eggs are missing vital micronutrients. Make sure they are not fed antibiotics, agricultural chemicals (this is huge), and are exposed to sun and fresh air. You’ll know you have a very nutritious egg when the yolks are almost orange and stand high above the whites, not flat and light yellow.
As Dr. Jack and I explain in our podcast #169 A Simple Trick to Reduce the Risk of Heart Disease, Breast Cancer and Fatty Liver – eggs contain the vital nutrient choline. Choline has two crucial functions in your body. It is a powerful fat emulsifier, as well as the principle ingredient in one of the major neurotransmitters in the body –– acetylcholine (ACH), the major neurotransmitter in the muscles. Choline is one of the best nutrients to support your liver and get rid of stored fat – such as in “Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease” (NAFLD). Choline has been described as a liver detergent.
The worry about salmonella* and consuming raw eggs is rightly concerning. But according to the National Egg Marketing Board around one in 7000 eggs may harbor salmonella. These are the numbers for commercial eggs laid by hens in cages. A salmonella-infected egg comes from an infected hen. Free-range pastured, organically reared hens are much less likely to have salmonella, as they possess much healthier immune systems.
This milkshake works to feed you on a foundational level. Going to the foundational problem fixes everything because nobody in the world knows what’s going on inside of you––no doctor, not me, not even you. But your BODY knows. Your body knows every little artery it wants to fix, every neuron it needs to repair, it knows how to re-balance out its microbiome.
