    I just found your podcast last night and have already listened to three episodes. I’ve been suffering from near constant hemorrhoids for the past 10 years. I understand that this isn’t a life-ending ailment, but it has been extremely debilitating. I love the outdoors/ working out and am (was) a very extroverted person. The constant pain of these hemorrhoids has completely changed how I feel and also who I am. I used to travel all over the country, but am now scared that sitting in a car or plane for a few hours will make things worst, so I don’t go anywhere. I used to work out every morning and evening, but am now afraid that the slightest pressure (based on past experiences) will make things worst too. I find myself making excuses to never go out with friends because another hemorrhoid is just one bad move, or bowel movement away. To be completely honest, after 10 years, I’m slipping into quite a state of depression. I’ve tried everything I can get my hands on and nothing has provided lasting relief. I take upwards of 25 different types of vitamins/ extracts/ supplements a day. I’ve got a pretty darn good diet (at least I think so). I don’t drink or do drugs. I don’t even sit at my dest at work ( I built a standing desk).
    Whatever it takes, I’m willing to do it. I don’t care how much it costs or how much I have to do. There has got to be some sort of underlying cause to my hemorrhoids. If I have to change everything I think I know about nutrition, exercise, etc, ILL DO IT!!! This has cost me relationships (intimate, family, friends), job opportunities, and most importantly, my physical and mental health. Please help me.
