What are the bad side effects from taking oral meds for toe fungus that won’t go aw17vI&#82ay;?e read opinions stating that toenail fungus will never go away with a topical cream. Why do doctors prescribe the cream then still? But my main question is what is the big deal about taking the oral medication? I know it will help clear it up faster, but I keep hearing how it has bad side effects? Anything very serious?

      Quiana,

We missed this question. Ack! Any oral anti-fungal or antibiotic can wreck havoc in the body by destroying gut bacteria that we need. There are alternative methods of dealing with toe fungus such as soaking your feet in very hot water with several ounces of apple cider vinegar in the water. If you could fill out a symptom survey we could help you a little more.
