Alcohol in very small amounts has also shown to have benefits on blood pressure and heart health.

But stop right there. Are you on your third glass of the evening? The calories and alcohol in higher doses quite easily undoes the health benefits we just mentioned, so once again, moderation seems to be part of the key here.

Why Are These Healthy Foods Considered Bad?

The food industry has a lot of different lobbyist working to get the FDA to promote unhealthy foods that are easier and cheaper to raise. Canola oil, for instance, is much cheaper to produce than beef tallow. Similarly, factory farms that raise cows and pigs in unhealthy environments find that they can make more money than small, responsible farms that raise animals as nature intended. This creates a powerful incentive to work with the FDA to massage their findings and recommendations to be consistent with commercial goals.

It’s truly unfortunate that the food lobbyists have so much influence over what the government and medical industry publishes. They have undermined a healthful food system that has existed for thousands of years. It makes them money and it keeps you sick. When it comes down to it, that’s forbidden information the authorities don’t want you to know.
